CCH Scan – Printing Problem Solved and Catalog Update (v.17.2.3.10)
CCH Scan Printing Problem Solved
The bug which caused cover pages and target sheets to always print on the Windows Default Printer has been corrected. Please make sure to reinstall the latest version of CCH Scan Workstation on all computers used to print cover pages and target sheets if you experienced this problem.
CCH Scan - Catalog Update
Catalog updates must be installed to be able to process the new and revised forms for 2020 that are published throughout tax season. Using the most up to date catalog ensures that CCH Scan correctly enhances data extraction for slips that can be processed using the CCH Scan AutoFlow Technology.
The Auto Update option is enabled by default on the General Settings tab of CCH Scan Administrator. The update will therefore be downloaded and installed automatically, unless you chose to disable the option.

A good reason to do so is if you often have T-slips that are bookmarked in the PDF, but whose values are not imported into Taxprep. A possible cause is that a specific version of a form which is not in the catalog is used in your area, or when the quality of the image is not sufficient to correctly identify the form.
By right-clicking and selecting Show All Forms in the CCH Scan Validation tool, you will see which forms did not extract: they will appear in grey italics in the list of forms. Simply click the e-mail icon in the CCH Scan Validation window to submit an encrypted version of the image file to Wolters Kluwer Canada. The file will be processed as per Wolters Kluwer Canada's privacy policy, and if it is a new variation of a form, it will be added to a CCH Scan catalog update to improve extraction.
Note: The Enable Files To Be Emailed To Wolters Kluwer check box must be selected in CCH Scan Administrator, under the Folder Settings tab, in order for this e-mail icon to be available in CCH Scan Validation.
You can also contribute to the catalog updates by submitting slips via the Submit Files to Wolters Kluwer functionality available in the CCH Scan Workstation tool.
Note: The Enable Files To be Uploaded To Wolters Kluwer check box must be selected in CCH Scan Administrator, under the General Settings tab, in order for the Submit Files to Wolters Kluwer functionality to be available in CCH Scan Validation and CCH Scan Workstation.
