Personal Taxprep
Release of Version 3.0 of Personal Taxprep 2019
We are pleased to announce the release of version 3.0 of Personal Taxprep 2019, which is now available for download.
The CD-ROMs will be shipped starting the week of March 8, 2020.
This version contains the forms released by the tax authorities for the 2019 taxation year, including those that were under review in previous versions. All forms were approved for filing. Returns can be EFILED with this version. For information on the transmission system schedule, please refer to the Electronic Filing section of the Release Notes.

End of support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
As we have been announcing since November 2018 in several documents (Installation Procedures and texts on the Web sites), as well as in the e-mails sent on September 3 and December 3, 2019, our software applications ended support of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 in November 2019.

Support Centre Opened on Saturdays until the end of April
As your software partner, we know that T1 tax season is a busy time for your business. For that reason, we have extended the working hours of our Support Centre, which will be opened on Saturdays until the end of April. We invite you to consult the dates and times of this extended schedule.

Our Knowledge Base contains an array of articles answering technical and tax questions most frequently asked to Support Centre agents. All you need to do is enter a few key words and the articles display in order of relevance to provide you with valuable information that will accurately answer your questions.
Activation Keys
Personal Taxprep requires an activation key to install the program, which includes various modules.
Simply enter the applicable key when prompted. To access your activation key, go to https://support.wolterskluwer.ca/en/download/ and log in to the Login section. In the Dashboard page, click the Activation Key(s) button in the Download section. If you have already installed a previous version of Personal Taxprep 2019, the activation key will not be required.
Training
To allow you to familiarize yourself with the new enhanced Taxprep interface, the Taxprep – New User interface free live Webinar is available to you. To learn about the presentation dates and register for the session most convenient for you, consult the training sessions calendar.
To consult the different training options available regarding Personal Taxprep (seminars, webinars, tutorials and more), access the Training section of the Wolters Kluwer Web site. You can also access it from the program, by selecting Get Taxprep Training in the Help menu.

Here is a brief summary of the main changes:
- TaxprepConnect, TaxprepConnect Download
In addition to displaying the HBP and/or LLP required repayment amount, the TaxprepConnect form now displays a new line entitled 2019 required repayment remaining.
- T1244, Election, Under Subsection 220(4.5) of the Income Tax Act, to Defer the Payment of Tax on Income Relating to the Deemed Disposition of Property
The Details of property to which this election applies section was added to the form to enter property for which the taxpayer elected to defer the payment of federal and/or provincial or territorial income tax.
