Cantax T1Plus 2025 Release!
We are pleased to announce that our Cantax T1Plus (version 25.2.3xx.105) software is now available for download.
This first 2025 production release of Cantax T1Plus has been approved by the CRA for the 2025 tax year for filing purposes (paper and EFILE). Most returns for 2025 can be prepared with this version of the program.
For a list of the forms under review in this release, please refer to the "Forms Under Review" section in the Release Notes.
The Auto-fill T1 return (AFR) service will open on February 9, 2026. The CRA system will begin accepting EFILE Online transmissions of 2025 personal income tax returns on February 23, 2026.
Please see the Release Notes for the highlights of this release. The Release Notes are accessible on our Web site and from the Welcome box in the program.
Activation Key
Please make sure that the workstation's regional settings are set to English (Canada or United States).
Cantax T1 requires an activation key to install the software, which includes various modules. Simply enter the applicable key when prompted. To access your activation key, go to https://support.wolterskluwer.ca/en/download/ and log in to the Login section. In the Dashboard page, click the Activation Key(s) button in the Download section. If you have already installed a previous version of Cantax T1Plus 2025, the activation key will not be required.

In this 4-hour live webinar, we will review the various federal and provincial tax and form changes for 2025 and discuss the implications for the preparation of your T1 returns. We will also examine recent tax and compliance developments that may be relevant to your personal tax practice, including changes to the CRA’s e-services. This will include a discussion of the role of AFR in your T1 preparation and the implications of recent CRA changes related to filing T-slips.
